About Anthony Bedford

Anthony Bedford is an author, entrepreneur, scuba instructor, and lifelong adventurer whose experiences above and below the water have shaped both his stories and his approach to life.

Raised in San Diego, California, Anthony spent much of his childhood at the beach. Long before he ever strapped on a scuba tank, he was snorkeling in the ocean and developing a fascination with the underwater world. The ocean became more than a place to visit. It became a lifelong source of curiosity, adventure, and inspiration.

After serving in the United States Air Force as a meteorologist, Anthony found his way into the technology field almost by accident. What began as an unexpected career path grew into more than thirty years in information technology, where he worked across application development, business analysis, product management, and user experience. Throughout his career, he led teams and projects while developing a deep appreciation for critical thinking and solving complex problems.

Adventure has always been a constant in Anthony's life. He became a scuba diving instructor and has spent more than forty years diving and teaching others to explore the underwater world safely and confidently. He has certified more than 550 students across fifteen certification levels and has enjoyed diving throughout Hawaii, Cozumel, California, and the Caribbean. Among his most unforgettable experiences was coming face to face with manta rays in the open ocean, a moment that reinforced his sense of wonder for the sea.

Anthony is also a private pilot, motorcycle enthusiast, avid do-it-yourselfer, and traveler who enjoys learning through experience and embracing new challenges. He has been married to his high school sweetheart for many years, and together they have raised one child.

Writing has been part of Anthony's life for more than three decades. Long before modern writing software and publishing platforms existed, he believed he had stories worth telling and knowledge worth sharing. Inspired by his experiences with the ocean and diving, he writes primarily to entertain while hoping readers walk away with a renewed sense of awe for the beauty, mystery, and power of the sea.

As an independent author, Anthony experienced firsthand how difficult it could be to build an effective online presence. Drawing on his extensive technology background and understanding of what readers want to know about the authors they follow, he created AuthorLoft.
